Caryn Groedel of Survivor 10 Palau
was just about as unlikely a final five
candidate as you could ever find, yet fifth
place is exactly where she finished in the
game. Caryn played both sides of every
fence like a seasoned stategist, and only
late in the game did her cattiness catch up
with her.
The civil rights attorney and mother of three daughters
will likely be best known for an eye-opening
diatribe at Tribal Council moments before
being voted off the island. Fearing
the imminent vote, she forcefully exposed
the backroom dealings of the remaining
castaways, and in doing so set a lot of
neckhairs bristling. It was an
admirably desperate attempt to stay in the
game, but it didn't work ~ the tribe spoke
and Caryn's torch was duly snuffed.
