If many are called but few are chosen, Colleen Haskell
clearly was both. For the entire
first half of Survivor 1 she went
mostly unnoticed, but as her fellow
castaways were voted off and viewers'
focus became more centralized, Colleen
emerged as *the* babe in the South China
Sea. With each passing week she
seemed cuter, her unpretentious air made
her ever more likeable, and each sentence
she uttered revealed more of her sparkling
personality than the sentence before.
By the time it
was all over, Colleen Haskell was
unarguably America's #1 sweetheart,
effortlessy stealing the title from such
notables as Courtney Cox, Jennifer Love
Hewitt, and Britney Spears ~ foxes in
their own right, but not SurvivorFoxes!
Colleen's pizzazz
and inimitable manner have taken her
beyond Survivor 1 to a realm of
celebrity she could never have imagined,
have taken her from unassuming girl next
door to Hollywood starlet, from simple college
girl to only-time-will-tell. The world is her
oyster ~ the world is her pearl ~ and we'll all be
watching and rooting
for her as she goes.
