SURVIVOR 8
ALL-STARS ~ Our admiration,
affection, and respect for Jenna Morasca
merely multiplied exponentially during her
brief stint on Survivor All-Stars.
Despite an unusual voluntary exit, she put
family ahead of adventure, and here at
SurvivorFoxes we share the grief of her
mother's passing in very personal ways that
few will ever know. Be strong Jenna,
and know you did your mom proud. |
Close your eyes for a moment and imagine this
scenario:
you're 21-years-old, good-looking, sexy,
slim ~ and you're holding in your hand a check made
out to you for the sum of one-million-dollars. Even
ignoring the galling fact that the IRS wants
nearly half of it, the balance is still a
very large wad of hundred-dollar-bills, and
it's a cinch you'll be picking
out a very nice car to drive very
soon after depositing that very nice check.
Yep you guessed it ~ that was Jenna Morasca's
burden as she accepted her winnings from producer Mark Burnett
a day after the season finale of
Survivor 6 The Amazon.
Simultaneously, Jenna's
name joined those of Brian Heidik, Vecepia Towery,
Ethan Zohn, Tina Wesson, and Richard Hatch
on the membership rolls of the world's most
exclusive club. They jointly hold the
prestigious title 'Sole Survivor' of the
world's finest reality TV series.
Jenna's own path to victory was elegant and sleek,
out-playing, out-witting, and flat out-foxing
everyone in sight. It began and ended
as a battle of the sexes, it was the Amazon
women versus the men, it was the manipulat-ors
against the manipulat-ees. And
by jove when the dust cleared, a svelte,
crafty, hard-charging specimen of a female
was perched atop the jungle throne.
Actually we imagine things would've happened
much the same way amongst the natives
themselves 1,500 years ago!
