If anyone was ever shortchanged by Survivor
it was Jessie Camacho, whose sleek
features, flowing hair, and Jennifer Lopez
resemblance were all the necessary
ingredients for a rendezvous with Reality
TV superstardom. From the moment we
were first introduced to the new Survivor
3 cast, Jessie stood as the Survivor
Fox most likely to succeed ~ if not to win
the million then to at least enjoy an
extended 15 minutes of Reality TV fame
afterwards. Alas if Susan Hawk could
make a career out of having been deserted
on an island in the South China Sea, then
Jessie Camacho was a sure bet for nothing
less after battling lions, tigers, and hippopotami
in Kenya.
Unfortunately for
us all, Jessie's body ~ even
while sumptuous on the outside ~ churned
from dehydration on the inside, and it
gave her fellow tribal mates an excuse to
bid her farewell. There's a rumor
that crime in Orlando, Florida ~ where
Jessie is a Deputy ~ has skyrocketed ever
since, with legions of Survivor fans
busting up the place in the hope that
Jessie herself will answer the call,
wrestle them to the ground, slap on the
cuffs and pat them down. Hey who
says crime doesn't pay?
