Maralyn Hershey quickly came to be known
by her descriptive nickname, a nickname
that will forever distinguish her from a
zillion other Maralyns the world over:
'Mad Dog', purportedly a reference to her
zeal as a cop in bringing felons and other
ne'er-do-wells to justice on the streets
of Washington, D.C.
Here at
SurvivorFoxes.com we make an offering of
tribute to Maralyn by giving her a new
moniker: 'Mad Fox', albeit more of a
reference to the zeal she took with her to
the outback, than the skills she actually
displayed playing the game.
Our most vivid
memory of 'Mad Fox' during Survivor 2
is of her comically addressing Jerri
Manthey's obsession with Kel Gleason's
phantom beef jerky, and attempting to
mediate the matter with a sense of wisdom
and proper justice. For our part
we're all but certain that Jerri was right
~ there *was* a stick or two illicit beef
jerky in that outback ~ yet seeing Maralyn
sticking up for a fellow uniform-wearing
compatriot was just as certainly an
endearing sight to behold.
