If someone were to author a book, or
scribe a screenplay about Shawna Mitchell's
performance during Survivor 6 The Amazon,
they might entitle it The Two Faces of
Shawna ~ and any actress slated to
portray her in the movie version would be
challenged with two wholly dichotomous roles
wrapped into one!
Indeed, when a re-alignment radically transformed the
Amazon dynamic from guys-versus-girls into a
flirtatious lovefest, so were Shawna's
bearing and demeanor instantly elevated a
hundredfold. And by rising from the
Survivor dead in a modern
personification of the Biblical tale of
Lazarus, she crystallized her image in
Survivor lore. Forevermore, waning
castaways who recover with miraculous speed
will have. . . pulled a Shawna!
Here at SurvivorFoxes we tend to go into
mourning whenever a castaway cutie is voted
off. And so it was in Brazil, when the
tribe spoke the unspeakable, and lovely
Shawna gracefully departed.
